"Give 'em hell" line

<< < (3/5) > >>

Ellemeno:
I never heard that line til I read about its existence last week, or whenever, now I hear it evertime, theater or DVD.

I just watched/listened to that little bit with my eyes opened and closed, and actually, I'm not sure who says it.  It does sound sort of gravelly and deep.  It's kind of a nutty line - or have I just not figured out its true meaning?

DeeDee:
I just played it again and it's definately Jack who says it..he says it as he is getting up, like he's grunting...

FuzzyChanny:
I always thought it was Jack, but I haven't seen it in three weeks *cries* so I could be wrong.

henrypie:
Don't know the answer, but I want to thank you Jenny for the insight about Ennis's reason for getting so drunk in the first place... hadn't thought of that.

Oh, alcohol, wonderful alcohol.
Almost always in moderation.

ednbarby:
Last time I watched it, I heard it clearly.  And I'm certain it was Jack because it comes too quickly after Ennis says his "Shit... gotta get back up to them sheep" line for it to said by him.

And again, Sarah, I'm reminded of my favorite Dorothy Parker line:

I like a good martini.  One or two at most.
After three, I'm under the table.  After four, I'm under my host.
