Hi Melissa,

Belated happy birthday!

I swiped got my avatar from the "JakeJakeJake" thread.  I'm sure you could find it, if you don't mind slogging through all those tedious pages of Jake pics.

Little dozy Jake I swiped borrowed from someone on Livejournal.  It's actually 10-year-old Jake in "City Slickers" where he played Billy Crystal's son.  He's not actually dozing:  in the scene his father is embarrassing him in class on a "what does your father do" career day.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

I still need to take it easy with the scrolling through pages because of carpal tunnel syndrome, so the Jake Jake Jake! thread might be a bit too much for me... ;) if you happen upon it somewhere, keep me posted! God, I can't believe I had never really noticed Jake before BBM, isn't that weird? Never knew he was also in City Slickers... he's so cute. He looked a lot more like his sister when he was young, as far as I can see from that little 'clip'.

Ooh, Melissa, sorry about the carpal tunnel.

"City Slickers" has a few very cute scenes with little Jake.  He's adorable, and you can see he would grow up to be fine.  I haven't seen it, but I think there's some interview footage of him at that age on the Biography show.

Little Jake had "story" Jack Twist teeth:  kinda like Bugs Bunny.  Could possibly eat popcorn out of the neck of a jug back then.

God, I love that in the story, it's so real.  :) It still sometimes looks like Jake has a slight gap in between his teeth, you see it in some scenes in BBM. I think it's kind of cute when other people have it, but I have always been very self-conscious about the gap between my own front teeth... (*blushing smilie...*)

Melissa, it works very well for Lauren Hutton and Madonna.

I agreed that a poster should be framed.  I got my Star Wars and LOTR poster framed but still looking for a BBM poster.  Who in Amazon.com did you get your poster from Br. Patrick?

If you do a search for "Brokeback Mountain"  on amazon.com you will get a listing of not only what they themselves carry but other retailers that they contract with.   The poster came from allposters.com and one could simply buy directly from them.  I like the "comfort factor" knowing that amazon.com is going to make sure that I get what I order from their contracted retailers.  The calendar came from "treeclub" but when I received their invoce, they were listed as calendars.com.  The first came from Raleigh, NC and the second from Renton, WA and they both arrived on the same day.   Pretty neat.
Lean on me, let our hearts beat in time,
Feel strength from the hands that have held you so long.
Who cares where we go on this rugged old road
In a world that may say that we're wrong.

...Cause I know - A love that will never grow old.
