Filming locations...
Kd5000:
Okay on TOB, somebody posted a link called www.Findingbrokeback.com. Jack's death was filmed on Rainbow Road in Alberta. Earl life ended near Dorothy, Alberta.. I know the commenter says something about the irony of the place names of where the actual filming took place. Evidently, it's pretty hard to get to Rainbow Road. Here's the main link which can connect to the two locations.

On the left hand column, there are many options to click on. I clicked on search. Then, I typed Earl. It pulled up two links. The Chapter 12 link is a photo of where Earl's body was discoverd. The Chapter 17 link is a photo of where Jack was killed.
I found both photo's, particularly the site of Jack's death, quite unsettling, even though I know there fiction. :'(
If your planning a BBM trip, this website seems to have the information you need. They also have photo albums that ppl posted showng them at many of the film sites including the final blowup.

Thank you for posting this link.
I have truly enjoyed seeing these places if only in pictures. It comforts me to know that one day I may be able to goto these spots. I know it sounds corny but thats just how I'm feelin right now.
I guess Im in the early stages on falling in love with BBM!

Just posting a video that has been shared in one of the Brokeback Facebook groups.
This was just posted today (9/27), about 6 hours ago. A woman named Judit recently made the trip to the filming locations, and uploaded a video of her stops on YouTube.
You can see the video here.

By someone whose name is slightly familiar but I couldn't tell you much more.
I was going to say we've lost so many people here. And we have. But Jeff, the rest of us here are all on Facebook and often interact with each other and many familiar old BetterMost frequenters (just today, I wished Celeste happy birthday and "liked" something Barb posted). I urge you to get an account there; they make it pretty easy. Because this site has gone down a few times, and John has always come to the rescue pretty quickly, but someday it might go down for good and he won't be available. The rest of us would easily stay in touch with each other, but we'd also like to stay in touch with you! You don't have to post or comment on other people's posts or whatever (although ideally you'd join "Bluebirds and Whiskey Springs," the Facebook group Amanda and I founded that includes many former active Brokies, plus Diana Ossana) and you can even set up your account under Jeff Wrangler (Paul has SouthendMD in his), which might make you essentially invisible to all but whatever Brokies you connect with, although if you like you can also set up a different account under a name that your non-Brokie friends/relatives would recognize, I think a lot of people have multiple accounts for similar reasons.
