Ding!  That's the one.  One of my first albums......  :)

As for on time or not  -  We had 2 sets of guests due at 2pm - one was my husband's family (parents, sister and sister's family) all arriving from out of town in one van, the other a good friend in her 70s who lives near me.

At 1:45pm, the out of town contigent called to say they were just leaving the house.   :-\  The nearby guest arrived on time, with her contribution of ice cream and sherbet.  She stayed half an hour, and then left, with my promise to bring her a plate of Thanksgiving meal and a slice of pumpkin pie later in the afternoon.

At 3pm our other guests arrived, and it all went great.  At 4:30pm, after getting table-clearing started by others, I took some dinner over to my older friend.  I sat with her for about half an hour, and had a great talk.  I started by telling her that BBM is going to be on HBO soon, and how it may impact a lot of lives.  She told me that her guess is that about half of all gay people still don't live out lives.  She has been out since the mid-1950s, and got sober in the early 60s, so from that time on lived a lesbian life that did not include the bars.  I think it was often lonely in those earlier decades, before there were other ways for lesbians to meet each other.

After half an hour, I felt duty-bound to go home to my house full of guests.

I had a good day.

Carving the turkey at Thanksgiving time--this was about 3 p.m.

This is the hero who towed you home yesterday?

(Nice candlestick, BTW--visible at the edge of the photo.)

Front-Ranger:
Oh, I don't know if I would accord him hero status. A real hero would have said at 6 a.m. that morning, "Why don't you take my car to work, so you'll be sure not to have any trouble." But, yes.

On my monitor that image is a little dark, but I noticed them.

(Nice family photo over on the Brokieism thread, too.  :D )
