-- in four parts, complete --
I have called them Jack and Ennis, with whom they share some chasracteristics, but they lived and died, and played Major League Baseball, the most homophobic of all sports, were the best of friends, but not lovers, as I pretend. In 1949, it was a minor miracle-that they were the best of friends.

Mild baseball (no actual playing of the game-some terms glosed). Very slashy, misegenation (one black guy, one white guy). The word comes from the Latin meaning mixig of the races, but means sex betwen people of diferent races, and not-as many think-only mariage, or the producing of children.

The setting, the time, most of the non-slash, and all people of  importance in the story are real (and some of the names I have not  changed).

hit's only me, twistedude.

hey, I highly recommend this story! Who better---I wrote it!

Jack? MY Jack!

Sid401k:
Hi, twistedude!

What a great story!  "Sort of RPS?" I thought.  "Baseball???" I thought.  But you made it work.  And it's a very Jack-and-Ennis-like tale.  (Not Jake-and-Heath!)  It's both sweet and romantic, without being at all overly-sentimental or mushy.  It's a story to read more than once, and savor.

twistedude:
I know why so few people are reading this story:
1) It's RPS, but it isn't Jake and Heath.
2)But it claims to be inspired by Brokeback Mountain.
3) And then to top that off, the author calls the principle characters "Jack" and "Ennis."
4) a Black Ennis?
5) hey, maybe the story is lousy (it....isn't.)
6) it's almost 14,000 words long!
6) One more thing...(as Columbo says)...

I WROTE IT!

twistedude:
bump! I LIKE this story!
