The angel's name was actually Pygar. Duran Duran (alternatively spelled, for the film character, Durand Durand) was the villainous scientist being sought by Barbarella. It's true, though, that the musical band got its name from this character.

Oh, I didn't know he had been killed off of Smallville... I had crushes on the Duke boys as well as their cousins! I remember being so mad that my brother got a Dukes of Hazzard cup whereas I got Strawberry Shortcake...
Firstever crush - not a teenager, but it was Christopher Reeve as Superman...
