Wal-Mart Clearance: BBM DVD Around $15
Phillip Dampier:
The DVD is priced at Wal-Mart anywhere between $13-15 (your results may vary with store - larger stores usually have lower prices). There is a deluxe edition forthcoming shortly that new devotees to the film may want to wait for. I'll see if I can find us some deals on that.

WalMart (The Website, anyway) SEEMS TO HAVE SOLD OUT OF BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN
Actually, TODAY Walmart has the widescreen version of Brokeback Mountain available on it's website for $6.88
Wide Screen for $6.88 FREE shipping to select stores.
Full Frame for $16.88 - But Out of Stock
Not now, nor have I ever been an employee of WalMart.

You definitely want the wide version for this movie.
Phillip Dampier:
BTW, the reviews are in for the two disc collector's edition and it's been a big thumbs down. It's a money grab. One quick slapped together mini-documentary where everyone congratulates everyone else (yawn), some postcards, and a few minute featurette and that's it... for a two DVD package!?!
No director's commentary. No deleted scenes. No Annie Proulx commentary. In short, absolutely nothing here to warrant the purchase of this set if you already have the DVD. You'd be better off looking for the HD version, if you have a HD set.
If you don't own the DVD, latch on to the Wal-Mart deal, even if you have to pay for shipping. It's a major deal.
Brown Eyes:
That's such disappointing news about the special edition. :-\
Thanks for the info. I was all set to buy it right away, but now I'll wait and ponder.
