Oh, Matilda definitifely has that age of having a mind of her own regarding clothes (or just about anything for that matter). It's the wonderful age of throwing tantrums in front of the closet first thing in the morning (but not only there).
You have no idea how my kids sometimes were dressed when they had that age ::); my youngest one still is sometimes. Pick your fights is my motto :laugh:.
Anyway, I think Matilda is definitively old enough to want to choose herself.

SYDNEY, Australia — Michelle Williams' father, a prominent stock market trader, agreed Tuesday to return to the United States to face tax evasion charges.
Larry Williams has been fighting extradition since he was arrested by Australian police in 2006 after flying to Sydney for a speaking tour in Australia and New Zealand. He has been free on bail.
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service wants to question the 65-year-old Virgin Islands resident about a possible $1.5 million in unpaid taxes from book royalties and earnings related to international seminars he conducted between 1990 and 2001.
Sydney's The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported that Williams will leave for Los Angeles on Wednesday.
"I will fight this and win," Williams said before sheriffs escorted him from court. "I will be back _ I have a lot of friends here in Australia."
Michelle Williams received an Oscar nomination as best supporting actress for her performance in the 2005 film "Brokeback Mountain," playing the wife of Heath Ledger's character. Ledger, who died from an accidental prescription drug overdose in January, is the father of her 3-year-old daughter Matilda Rose, Larry Williams' granddaughter.

Michelle Williams has started doing publicity for her upcoming independent film "Wendy and Lucy" and broke into tears during a Newsweek interview when the subject of her ex-fiance Heath Ledger, dad to daughter Matilda, came up:
Williams is jovial and chatty, until the conversation turns to Heath. You can see it's still difficult for her to talk about him, and she hasn't done so publicly until now. The first time Ledger's name comes up, she bursts into tears. "It's so sad," Williams says. When she's asked about how she's been doing in the past year, she's silent for a very long time. "I guess it's always changing," she says. There's another pause. "What else can I say?" Her voice is breathy and fragile, and she takes a few gulps of air. "I just wake up each day in a slightly different place--grief is like a moving river, so that's what I mean by 'it's always changing'." She stops again. "It's a strange thing to say"--her words unravel slowly, her eyes tear up--"because I'm at heart an optimistic person, but I would say in some ways it just gets worse. It's just that the more time that passes, the more you miss someone. In some ways it gets worse. That's what I would say."
As she walks back to her car, Williams spots an SUV parked on the side of the road. Is it the paparazzi? No, but her heart still sinks at the thought. The paparazzi are one topic that gets her so riled up, she spits out curse words. "It burns a fire inside of me, the s--- that I've seen people do to get at me or my daughter," she says. "I won't forget it, and I won't support it. I don't want my daughter growing up feeling spied on or threatened."
