Saturday is the Winter Solstice.

There is just something about the Winter Solstice that speaks very deeply to me, but I can't figure out why.  ???

There is a center of energy in the body that is outside of the logical mind. Perhaps it's the other hemisphere of the brain, or maybe a network of neurons that works in complementary ways... or in other words, may the force be with you!

CellarDweller:
I enjoy marking the time like that as well, Jeff.

I may not know all the holidays like Imbolc or Beltane, but I do always make note of the solstices and equinoxes.
