Anyone know what's up with John Gallagher?

I noticed that John has not been on this Board for a long time.  Does anyone know what's up with him? I asked Newyearsday and she told me that she called him twice since thanksgiving and did not hear back from him.  We are both concerned.  Has anybody else been in touch with him?

Meryl:
I last saw John on November 17, Pete.  We went to see Cosi fan tutte.  He was in good spirits and starting some new therapy for improving his speech.  He hasn't been online mostly because his laptop had to be mailed somewhere to be repaired, but also because it's still difficult for him to read and reply in print.

I've been meaning to call him and wish him a Happy New Year.  I'll let you know if he gets back to me.

Hey Pete and everybody,

I just hung up the phone from talking to John, and he is in very good spirits and was glad to hear from me and know that everybody is thinking about him.  He's been working on improving his speech over the last months and still has some trouble articulating, but he's as bright as ever.  He said he's going to start an augmented reading program next week where they will download some software onto his laptop that will help him get better at reading.

He said he's not posting and reading at BetterMost right now mainly because it's too frustrating and he has a kind of mental block about it, but he expects that to be temporary.

In the next week or two he wants to get together for dinner or a show, hopefully with Jenny, too, and we will be sure to report in on that.  I wished him a Happy New Year from all of us, and he sends the same back, with all his love.  :-*
