"A" is abrupt.  The way Ennis pushed Jack against the wall was abrupt!

Alma felt betrayed by Ennis' kiss with Jack.

For a couple of minutes, lying against Jack, Ennis has a look of contentment.

Jack's first words in the motel scene are "Damn, four years."

At least in the screenplay they are, it may be "Four years, damn" in the movie.  Guess I'll have to go watch my DVD *again* just to be sure!  DAMN!!!
