The Enemy You Know...

(1/1)

Lynne:
I think it's telling that the religious right spends so much time vilifying Brokeback Mountain, crediting it as an example of all that's wrong with so-called family values and representative of moral decay of society, ad nauseum.

It's almost as if it struck such a nerve, resonating to the point that they're afraid.  I mean, I know why WE are still talking about it more than a year later, but why in the world are they still so consumed by it?  It's still a popular op/ed topic with these people - I run across stuff like this all the time in my quest for BBM news:

I bet "Alan Chambers" goes on a bi-annual fishin' trip with his fishin' buddy.     AND THAT'S WHY HE'S SCARED OF BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN!  ENOUGH SAID.  ;)

ednbarby:
Indeed, Eric.  What was that Christian Evangelical leader's name, again?  I rest our case.

delalluvia:
*sigh*

Typical tactics.  They think if they say it loud and often enough, people will believe it.  And yes, some do.  But not the intelligent people.
