Merci Br. Patrick!

Maybe if 90% of priests are  gay, then it could be the ONLY place for some gays to be SAFE, maybe Br. Patrick

Your view on that, maybe.

Au revoir,
hugs!

Br. Patrick:
I don't think that gay priests are safer than anyone else.  It would be exceptionally shameful for them to be 'Outed' to their congregations because of being caught because of some unfulfilled sexual outing.  And when a priest (or a monk) goes about his business, we generally wear common clothing - nothing that would distinguish us from anyone else.  Clerical Clothing definitely has it's appropriateness depending on the work one is engaged in.  But as I learned on the last day of my novitiate retreat in 1978, wearing a habit does not make me a monk.  That comes from within.

As long as there are homophobes, there will be gay bashing.. to whoever.  They need to be LOVED.   To repeat a biblical topic, it's like pouring hot coals on their heads.   ::)

Merci Br. Patrick !

Your post is interesting!

You do not think that being a gay priest, pastor, etc., helps being safer from neing murdered for being a homosexual...
somehow.

Au revoir,
hugs!

Br. Patrick:
Maybe for a RELIGIOUS homophobe.  ;D

Now there's two words one seldom sees in the same sentence..
