The house is  monitored 24hrs a day so any fire would mean automatic unlock and warning by 'Big Brother' for house mates...

In the 10 + series' in the UK there has been one fire when the housemates left a frying pan on and forgot about it and the fire was out in about 1 minute as some of the crew from the show ran in and put it out with fire extinguishers!

yeah - that quote was from the big brother website - so thats actually was what was said!!!

(I got that tip from Garry....he emails himself the links then goes to a friends house to watch them...takes WAY too long on dial up!)
