Here ya go, Sue.

I couldn't find a video performance by the artist, but I did find this fan video made with footage of "The Office", I think.

Sheriff Roland:

--- Quote from: Front-Ranger on June 15, 2008, 03:46:19 pm ---I heard this song performed on Prairie Home Companion today and it brought back memories of when I used to sing it as a young buck. Here it is with a few tweaks:

Ennis' Song

There's a young man that I know
His age is the same as mine
He comes from up in Northern Wyoming
Just out of the (forest) service
And he's looking for his fun
Someday soon, going with him, someday soon.

My parents can not stand him
'Cause he rides the rodeo
My father says that he will leave me cryin'
I would follow him right up
The highest mountain I know
Someday soon, going with him, someday soon.

And when he comes to call, my wife ain't got a good word to say
Guess it's cause she was just as wild, in her younger days.
He loves his damned old rodeo as much as he loves me,
Someday soon, going with him, someday soon.

--- End quote ---

Someday Soon, written by (Canadian) Ian Tyson, of Ian & Sylvia fame. Song was originally released on their Northern Journey album in 1964

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_and_Sylvia

They married in June of 1964,and released their third album, Northern Journey during that year ... Also on the Northern Journey album was "Someday Soon", a composition by Ian that would rival "Four Strong Winds" in its popularity.

Katie77:
Thanks Chucky......
