Song Suggestions for BBM Radio!!

<< < (9/77) > >>

Front-Ranger:
This is for the guy in the Mint Bar who started it all:

"Old Man" (Neil Young)

Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.

Old man look at my life,
Twenty four
and there's so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two.

Love lost, such a cost,
Give me things
that don't get lost.
Like a coin that won't get tossed
Rolling home to you.

Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me
the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Lullabies, look in your eyes,
Run around the same old town.
Doesn't mean that much to me
To mean that much to you.

I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past.
But I'm all alone at last.
Rolling home to you.

Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me
the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.

I think that the BBM answer to that one is 'Not often.'  ;)

Actually, I do sleep, but I keep getting onto an odd schedule...don't know why. ???

All great suggestions here!  I would love to hear the Dylan version of 'He Was a Friend of Mine.'  I also think the Neil Young suggestion fits really well, doesn't it?

That is one intense song.  To me, many of the lyrics can be strongly BBM-related, not all, so I wouldn't personally suggest it but it's a great track so I would be cool with it on BBM radio.

A little OT tidbit: The singer used to be in the British Army & as well as serving in Bosnia he was one of the guards during the vigil for the Queen Mother.

Sheriff Roland:
Know what I'd like ta hear more of? Gordon Lightfoot - Know you played "If you could read my mind" in yer special at the beginnin a the month, but there's so much more that can be included in yer list: his version a "Me & Bobby McGee" preceeded Janis Joplin's version by about 8 months, I love album cuts like "Nous vivons ensemble (We've got to stay together)" and minor hits (well n Canada it wasn't minor) like "Beautiful" and "Rainy Day People"

Man! can that boy entertain.

Please consider includin at least one more tune: either "Me & Bobby McGee" or "Beautiful".

Appreciate it!

How'bout Bob Dylan's "Don't think twice, it's alright"?
