I too hope to hear it soon, and I expect I'll have the same reaction, seein as one is a singer & the other .... isn't.

Dylan may not be a singer any more but he used to be a fine one and if you listen to The Essential Bob Dylan you'll agree with me. More importantly, he made the effort to write all those old songs down. If he hadn't Willie Nelson wouldn't have been able to sing it, because it would have been lost.

I'm sorry, but I don't see where I've said I don't appreciate Bob Dylan's genius as a song writer - and his Lay Lady Lay / Knocking on Heaven's Door recordings probably cannot be improved upon by other singers, but I've never understood the attraction to his performance skills (as a singer) in his many other recordings. Much prefer other's interpretations of his early works. Don't mean I don't wanna hear his version a this phenomenal find a his (He Was a Friend a Mine) - just don't expect it to be better'n Willy Nelson's version, is all.
