If possible.  I know it's a whole other extra thing, since there probably aren't recordings of them so far.  They are so wonderful, and even more than BBM-specific, they are BetterMost-specific!

loneleeb3:
I don't know if this has been suggested, But Eva Cassidy has some beautiful stuff that makes me think of the boys sometimes.

Fields of Gold, Autum Leaves,I know you by heart, Songbird.
I'll try and postthe lyrics if you want.

Also, "Past the Point of Rescue" by Hal Ketcham.

LauraGigs:
I think of the boys (particularly the reunion, Ennis' POV) with this song.  (Probably not the deepest tune in the world, but it fits.)

It's been a long, long time. You're such a sight, you're
lookin' better than a body has a right to.
Don't you know we're playin' with the fire?
But we can stop this burnin' desire

Here we go again!
Is it ever gonna end?
Here we go again!

I see your lips and I wonder who's been kissin' them
I never knew how badly I was missin' them
We both know we're never going to make it
but when we touch, we never have to fake it

Baby, it's no good. We're just askin' for trouble
I can touch you, but I don't know how to love you
It ain't no use! We're headed for disaster
Our minds said "No" but our hearts were talkin' faster

(Ah! Leah!  by Donnie Iris)

I was really excited to see this post from you! But when I came to read it it was not the lyrics that I hoped to hear!! <sigh> but I know you'll try persuade your FRiend who composed the beautiful song to not let it be hidden too much longer...

LauraGigs:
For Jack --

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom,
blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,
rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
