Soundtracks you love
Toast:
My favourite soundtrack album -
and I had this on vinyl way back in the 1970s
is Bob Dylan's music for Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.
(Dylan acted in the movie, too.)
The soundtrack that gave us the cllassic song
"Knockin' on Heaven's Door"
Lots of guitars and Bob sounds OK too.
Now I have the CD.
I saw Breaking Away listed as a soundtrack, but I've never heard it.
Must be perfect with all that "Italian" music.
Better look that one up.
Oh Yes
Shawshank Redemption and The Motorcycle Diaries too.
Front-Ranger:
I've been listening to Knockin on Heaven's Door and Lay Lady Lay nonstop on The Essential Bob Dylan for a couple of months now! What a great album, and when I told EDelMar that Bob Dylan was in a Western movie, he didn't believe me!
Toast:
Bob Dylan
as the character
"Alias"
in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid
(from 1976)
Believe it dude.
belbbmfan:
I really liked A Room With A View.
O Mio Bambino Caro sung by Kiri Te Kanawa was very romantic and moving. Perfect in a Tuscan landscap.
ffrn:
BBM of course! ;), Shawshank Redemption, Out of Africa, Dances with Wolves, The English Patient, Chariots of Fire and my favourite, Lawrence of Arabia.
