Wooo-eeee! Gustavo and Rodrigo are nominated again! And chances are Jake will present, since he won one last year. Regardless, I'm looking forward to this one most of all. I adore Stephen Fry (I assume/hope he's hosting again), and all in all it's just so much more pleasant to watch than any other awards show. It'll be held February 11. I think the way it worked for us Yanks last year was it was shown taped the next night on BBC America...

Thanks for posting this information! Maybe we should have a chat during the show.
I'm hoping to see Pan's Labyrinth this weekend and I'm also very curious about Venus. Have you seen it?

"Venus" hasn't been released here yet, that I know of. I'm hoping to see "Pan's Labyrinth" this weekend, too! I'm actually taking the day off on Friday as a kind of mental health/Florida Appreciation day and going out to my favorite breakfast place (a family-owned place called Tom Sawyer), then to see "Babel" at 10:15, then to lunch at my favorite lunch place, then to get my hair cut at 3:00. (I know - TMI.) Then I'm hoping to see "Notes on a Scandal" on Saturday and "Pan's Labyrinth" on Sunday. I don't travel much these days, unfortunately, so I like to have these days off here and there just to recharge my introverted batteries.
Front-Ranger:
Cool! I don't think I can get Friday off but I'll try to get off early and rush over to the theater!!
There was a great review of the movie in The New Yorker.
Front-Ranger:
Will the BAFTAs be televised in the U.S.?
This is the same date as the first anniversary of BetterMost!! Great minds think alike!!!!
