I've read this story from the beginning, and have enjoyed it.  The idea that Jack didn't die, but either chose to make Ennis and others think he did for various reasons, or was hurt but escaped and needs help, or some other scenario, reaches deep into us.  We want a "happy" ending, at least one where Ennis and Jack have a chance to be together and work out the words they threw at each other in anger and frustration at their last meeting. 

In particular, I see in yours that Ennis suffered a very signficant emotinal event, belieiving Jack to be dead, which caused him to rethink who he is and should be and wants to be.  When he hears that Jack may be alive, he drops everything to find him.  Now that he has him, he still is cautious, because of his background and what happened to Jack, but he won't lwave Jack regardless. 

Jack has suffered. [Because of the canon, he seems to be the one who suffers physically, leading to more psycholigical suffering.]  And he lost faith and hope in Ennis, who didn't come for him.  But, once Ennis is there, he clings to him, the rock, the island in his sea of pain and despair. 

Love is blind? Good choice for a title. Several layers to it, and you are explouring those.  Dr. Reynoldo's house may be a save haven for now, but I don't think it is where they should be forever.  They need to go back into their world, and confront those who tried to kill Jack, and confront LD and Lureen, and try to explain things to Bobby and Jack's parents.  Then, they both can truly heal, and seek the right place to live their sweet life together.
