Yep, it's a great chapter, action-packed and exciting.  :)  I'm glad everyone including Nina came through! Though poor Linden has gotten his big share of cuts and bruises, not to mention gunshots, during his companionship with J&E. He'd better take up a quiet life with Jorge instead!  ;)

Yep, and there's some pretty nice heavy breathing, too!  LOL!

I really love how Jack's blindness is handled in this story  - it's never been gimmicky or over-dramatized.  It just is.  And even though I obviously don't want  him to be blind, I don't pity him.  Because we've been shown that he may be blind, but he's also strong, smart and caring - and never sightless when it comes to what really matters.

And now that we can breeeeeaaaathe at last, I'm looking forward to seeing them set the foundation for that sweet life.

Here's part of el's author's note: 

..I thought long and hard on making this my final chapter. There just no way to end Jack, Ennis and company here. I had said there will be more chapters, and there will. I feel to do the story justice, I can't gloss over their life together in just two or three more chapters. I decided to continue the story, do a part two. I've got plans for the story, and where it will go. I hoping on my vacation to set ground work for it. For now, this part of their lives is complete. Happy dreams Jack and Ennis

What a wonderful, satisfying end to Part One!  Linden and Jorge are so sweet together - and what a  beautiful  image of the two of them in Jorge's "living" home, Taresa.  And the final scene with Lureen, Jack, Ennis and Bobby rang so true. 

I'm looking forward to seeing how Jack's blindness and Ennis's own issues play out in the new "real" world they'll be entering!
