Do You Have Any Plans For Valentine's Day?

Let's face it Scott. This blizzard isn't bringing much luck to any of us. The next time he tries to do this, go sneak outside and remove the distributor from his car. That's what I would do. :D

--- Quote from: Front-Ranger ---As a valentine gift to myself, I'm planning to take off work early today and go see Jack Kerouac's scroll of "On the Road" which is on display at the downtown library.

scroll?? Hunh?
Front-Ranger:
Kerouac was something of a stream-of-consciousness writer in the style of James Joyce. So, when he wrote the book On the Road, he just put a sheet of paper into the typewriter and started typing. No paragraphs, no margins. When he came to the end of the paper, he taped a new sheet onto the end. He ended up with a 600-ft-long "scroll" on which the manuscript was typed (and it was over a short period of time too). The library is showing the first 300 ft now and will show the second 300 ft beginning in mid-February.
Okay, since I am still sitting in my office, I have missed seeing the scroll today. Guess I'll just have to give myself a different Valentine's present!!

Scott,
It is too bad that you didn't have the day you hoped for today :(
I mean it. :)
Your having a blizzard?
Here its wind and ice.
Oh, its Valentines day? ??? ::)

Hmmm, maybe I'd better join Kerry in heading for the hills too. It was a glorious warm and sunny Valentine's Day here. Not a single snowflake in sight. ;D

A snow devil is a mini snow drift. The wind will blow the snow around into little mounds and people around here call them snow devils. :)
