Are You a Summer Person or a Winter Person?

I LOVED opening up the terrace door, or opening the windows in the lanai and letting the fresh air roll into the house. We had a Jacaranda tree in our side yard next to the bedroom, and I always loved the scent of it drifting into the house.

I miss Florida.  :(

Gosh, that word lanai takes me back! Back in the late 80s I used to do my grocery shopping every Friday night on my way home from work and would then settle-down in front of the telly with a nice glass of red wine, to watch  the Golden Girls, which came on at 7.30. It was a much-loved part of my weekly routine. It meant the weekend was on the way! Yipee! Lanai is not a word used where I live, so reading it here, brought back happy memories. The jacaranda is my favourite tree. I love the colour and the perfume. They are everywhere in Sydney!

Having being born in the sunny and warm Caribbean, I guess I am a summer person. But after living in Spain for so long I've gotten used to season and temperature changes. So, I guess I'm versatile now. Though there isn't much of a winter in Madrid. At least not lately. It really looks like a long fall season. Some days it gets very cold but it is like a total of seven days all year long. Summers are hotter than hell though.
