The Vagina Monologues
Front-Ranger:
Yes, it's available on DVD, David and Tru. Amanda, I don't know what to tell you. I tried to warn you that men in general are very curious and interested in this play, I've found. I was somewhat surprised myself. And there were lots of men at the performance.
I would like to invite more of the ladies to come and post here, whether you've seen The Vagina Monologues or not!
Ellemeno:
Here's my only Vagina Monologues story so far (I still haven't seen it, though I saw a parody of it a couple of years ago on TV).
About three weeks ago, husb, 3 1/2 yo daughter and I went to a cute, rural-ish, artsy town about an hour away from Seattle. We park the car, and notice that we are right in front of a building with a sign on it saying something like "County Children's Theater." So I say, "Neat, let's go check it out."
We walk in, and they are clearly getting ready for a show to start. Hm, we have the afternoon free for an adventure, what's the name of the show? I ask a friendly-looking woman setting up seats. No foolin' - The Vagina Monologues. At a children's theater? This IS a blue state, but still! :) I told my daughter we could see it when she's a little older.
Front-Ranger:
he, he, Clarissa! Yes, I would agree that 3 1/2 is a little early for a girl to see The Vagina Monologues! Although I think it's important for all girls teenaged and older. But wait, you forgot to include a sentence that begins, "My vagina..."
