The Full Moon
David In Indy:
We all know the full moon affects the ocean and the tides, but does it have an effect on people too?
Many policemen and women will tell you the crime rate is much higher during a full moon. Some doctors also claim that the emergency rooms are busier during this time.
What do you think? Does the full moon affect people's behavior?
David In Indy:
I think it does. Since it seems to affect liquid (ocean water) perhaps it affects blood too, which is also a liquid.
Things always seem crazier when there is a full moon. I don't know why.
fernly:
As a teacher, I've seen kids act up often enough when there's a full moon, to believe that it does influence people (at least children anyway). How it does though, I sure don't understand.
saucycobblers:
I definitely believe that moon cycles, seasons, atmospheric pressure - all of nature's rhythms - have a more profound influence on us than we realise. It's just that modern living has made us less attuned to it.
CellarDweller:
I believe it does.....I've seen people act very out of character when the full moon is out.
