Ennis and his PIE location
David:
I couldn't find the original thread so I made a new one.
A while back someone asked why Ennis was eating Pie at a Bus Station.
Well I was surfing the Flickr.com Brokeback mountain photos and noticed someone had done a road trip and taken some pics of the BBM filming locations.
Sure enough, there is the infamous cry in your pie Bus Station! Look closely and you'll see the Greyhound sign on the right and bus depot sign on the left. There is also a sign that says JAVA SHOP.
The photographer remarks that they still serve great pie!
Here is another infamous landmark. If those stairs could talk!
And where Joe Aguirres trailer was.
Jeff Wrangler:
Thanks, David!
I can remember reading somewhere a long time ago a post where someone said it was so sad that Ennis had to eat pie in the bus station, and thinking to myself, "But maybe the bus station lunch counter just has the best apple pie in town?" :D
I love the moose silhouette on the wall of the parking lot! ;D
Kd5000:
Thanks for posting those photos. To think those events took place so long ago, 1967 reunion and 1982 bus station/pie scene, the buildings haven't aged. ;D
I see no evidence of the laudromat that Ennis and Alma lived above. Can't really make out what sort of business there is out front. Some sort of photo place.
In all seriousness, I've heard that the locals have gotten used to visitors stopping by that site of the reunion. Doubt if anybody acts out the reunion kiss scene right there. ;)
Thanks again for the photos.

Don't doubt it! The evidence is on findingbrokeback.com! ;)

If I owned the property, I'd charge a fee. ;D
I don't think the satellite dishes were there in 1967. And the roof over the sidewalk in front of the photo shop is new. ;D
