Never saw that before..Didnt think there were many plants i hadnt seen...If its herb. What does it
smell,,,,taste like.??
Front-Ranger:
Yup, I just saw it growing all over the place on my workout hike this weekend. It looks a lot like colombine, which is our state flower. Whenever I see rue, it reminds me of something I regret. Usually neglecting a friend. I have tried to grow it in my yard but it's a tough one to get started.

Dunno why they call it a herb - no special smell/taste/use ... just ornamental (looks pretty). Ours are growing in relatively shady and dry areas a the back yard - though I do tend ta water em somewhat regularly...
Now fer a close-up a the last type a peonie ...

Gonna hafta find another plant fer tonight now...
In the meantime, here's the 3rd picture for the meadow-rue (which, since I've got 4 plants of it now, I'm hoping ta move em as a border in the back yard with the Sarah Burnhart peonies)

Howdy Sheriff...your flowers are GORGEOUS and the pictures are AWESOME...I am working my way backward through your yard, neighborhood, and pictures. I think I told you I do not have a yard but I LOVE flowers, trees, etc . I guess my favorite wild flowers are Indian Paintbrush, Bluebonnets and BIG Sunflowers . I have made several trip to Glacier National Park MT and fell in love with Bear Grass in the Park. VERY interesting flowers :)
