Sheriff Roland:
Just got home & I'm exhausted. Reached at leat 34*C today and in the house right now it's 31*C. Plus I'm just not usta gettin home at 7:00 pm - been away for 12 hours!

took this picture a couple a days ago. Looks like it's gonna be the best showin of this flower, seeing as many of the fist blooms are now beyond their best.

Sheriff Roland:
For the last couple a years, I've had this plant growing in the crack between the paved driveway and the house. Last year I tried to uproot it - unsuccessfully. Never even got to see what kind a lilly it was.

Turns out it was an Easter Lilly  :-\ Now how did an Easter lilly got to grow there?!?! I never let my lillies go to seed. And besides, I haven't had as Easter lilly in many years - Ah ... the mysteries of life. It's pretty though.  :)

This is a gaillardia or Indian Blanket. I just saw the first one of the season last nite on my run. I saw a bunch of flowers I wanted to photograph, but my daughter has stolen my camera and I hope I get it back soon.

I still have the label that came with the plant "Maysville Daisy Coreopsis auriculata 'Nana'" right there on the label ... although the image doesn't show the black near the center - could conceivably have been mislabeled.
