Pretty soon this is all that's gonna be adoenin my yard, but I'm impressed by the size a this one this early. Whereas most a my sunflower blooms are 6 to 8 inches across, this one's near a foot wide AND at over 5 foot high (last year some greo over 7 feet high!)

Got a question a my own now ... These faux 'black-eyed susans' are annuals (they reseed themselved year after year -3 years running).
My question is ... if they're all the same annual 'black-eyed susans', why are the flowers closer to the house (on the left) pretty well clear of the black markings whereas the further we get from the house (the further to the right), the more black markings there are on the petals? Hunh? ..... Drainage? Shading? Luck a the draw, seeding wise?
