A song that makes me think of Brokeback Mountain

Eternal Flame
( The Bangles )

Close your eyes, give me your hand, darling
Do you feel my heart beating, do you understand?
Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming?
Is this burning an eternal flame?

I believe it's meant to be, darling
I watch when you are sleeping, you belong to me
Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame?

Say my name, sun shines through the rain
A whole life so lonely, and then you come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling

Say my name, sun shines through the rain
A whole life so lonely, and then you come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling

Close your eyes and give me your hand
Do you feel my heart beating, do you understand?
Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame?

Is this burning an eternal flame?

An eternal flame?

(Close your eyes and give me your hand
Do you feel my heart beating, do you understand?
Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame?)

Re: The Rose

Well, for one reason and the other I'm feeling extremely emotional today, and a little down, and watching that video with that particular slightly melodramatic song just about did me in.  :'( I'm all sniffling and crying here, and feeling so terrible for poor Ennis and so bowled over by the whole tragic beautiful amazing love story........

Won't this feeling *ever* subside? I mean, it's been a whole year!  :-\

mvansand76:
Hey Mikaela, what does your signature line say?

Mikaela:
It's a line from one of the poems of the Norwegian poet Inger Hagerup, and it says:

Everything means something else, noone knows what that is

It sounds far better and more ambiguous / enigmatic in Norwegian. I think it's one of those lines that can't really be translated. Just like yours.

:) Yes, it is! Thanks for translating though!
