Anybody familiar with the music of Jake Holmes? I love his song 'So Close' and I am trying to find the lyrics now, once I find them I will post them!

I heard this 1975 classic, after God knows how many years, over the weekend, and it instantly shot me into "Brokeback" reverie. The song is "Holdin' On To Yesterday" by Ambrosia, released on their 1975 LP Ambrosia (here is another that fits in chronologically with the boys' story). Haunting and melancholy, this plaintive musical poem suggests the longing that we know gnawed at Ennis's spirit for the remainder of his life after Jack's demise. This is not the song of the warm refuge of memory (letting the panel of the dream slip forward), but of the wound that will not, perhaps can never heal. Here it is (written by David Pack and Joe Puerta):
