YEEEEEEHAAAAW!! :D
John is here! 8)
God bless you, John. It is so wonderful to see you posting again! We have missed you so much. :-* :-* :-*
All the very best to you with your medical procedures and therapy. Our next brunch will have you sitting in the seat of honor! ;D
Aloysius J. Gleek:
Thank you DEAREST sweetest people!
I've been a little bit emotional the last few days, getting jags. Because of the stroke it's very hard to read, although I'm trying--but even the easiest small sad pieces in the newspaper (like young kids dying Iraq) can sent me crying buckets.
Well, these are people who need positive vibes than I do. But you gave me a smile this evening!
Thank you!
xxxxxxx!
John
Aloysius J. Gleek:
Thank you Meryl!
Seems I need a dacron patch in my heart--
(Do you should ask the surgeon for denim instead?)
I wish I could try a few Haiku, but the speech therapist (who is really good) has me doing other other things first.
Can't wait to write soon!
xxxxxxx!!!!!
John

newyearsday:
Hey John,
It's great, great, great to hear from you. Let the tears come, and also make sure you get plenty to laugh about coming your way. I'll do my best to make you laugh here. Like, how at first I called the reality show about the 1867 cowboys "cowboy stock options." Then Victoria corrected me in the thread (it's really called "Texas Ranch House") but I didn't see it right, and so I went back and corrected it to be "Texas Ranch Hands."
For more lasting laughs, I recommend watching some good movies--comedies, people, let's think of some kick ass comedies for John! Ok, these will sort of date me, but here are some of my faves from back in the day:
Mr. Mom (best line: "21, 22, whatever it takes.")
Stir Crazy (classic Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor flick)
The Sure Thing (a great John Cusak movie--before Say Anything even!)
The In-Laws (the 1970's version, not last year's re-make!)
Okay, that's enough for me....I'm sure there must be more really funny things from the past 20 years but I can't think of much right now!
Love and Prayers,
Jenny (p.s. keep those mid-line crosses going! just march in place and you'll basically be doing it)

Dear John, I see you still have your sense of humor!
Thanks for making my day brighter. :-*
