May I? I was going to post on the HHH thread, but then I thought it would be inadequate. Still, I think this man deserves a thread.
It's not so much to celebrate his death, but rather the man, his ideas, his actions, his words.

For one of my English classes I had to learn by heart his "I had a dream" speech and it was a revelation.

He very probably had flaws, but who hasn't, right?

He died today 39 years ago, aged 39.

Thanks for reminding us, Jude!  How interesting about the number 39, too.

He was indeed a great soul, and much missed.  What would the world be like if he and the Kennedys had stayed with us?  Better, I trust.  :(

Wishes:
I have a poster of the "I Have A Dream" speech up in my computer room. I find that speech very inspiring. I do find there is still so much hate and ignorance still. It still exists, people are just a little more "quiet" about it now. Scratch a little below the surface though and it's there.
