BBM Radio One Music Feedback Forum

Howdy!
This thread is for posting comments and feedback on the music you hear on BBM Radio One. We want to hear all "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" comments. Feel free to respond and debate about the songs. Why should they be on the station or why they should be removed. I want to see some lively participation and debate! :D
I'll go first and get started.
I miss hearing Sarah Brightman's "This Love" on the station. I fell in love with the BBM video on YouTube put to this song. This will always speak BBM to me forever.
Ok, fire away, we're listening:

Quote from Sheriff Roland from another thread to get this started:
--- Quote from: Sheriff Roland on April 07, 2007, 09:53:11 am ---ARGGG - can't stand this song! - When's 'stars in the rearview mirror' gonna be rotated out - it's far too long and agravatin! (I have a problem with long songs - except 'the Boxer' - by Simon & Garfunkel - which isn't really germaine to your program anyways)
--- End quote ---
Sheriff Roland:
I've only started ta listen ta BBM radio a couple a months ago, and found it soothing - mostly. When you added a bunch a new songs, including 2 or 3 from the early 70's (Everything I Own, Without You, If You Could Read my Mind) I made an effort to tune in when my local radio station tends to go "advertizement" mostly on weekends.
Only one song I REALLY like that I'd never heard before - Coyotes - but I didn't hear it this past weekend.
Don't understand why some a the songs are on there - other than some people really like em: Behind Blue Eyes, (Don't Fear) The Reaper
Well I REALLY like "The Boxer" from Simon & Garfunkel, and "Morning Has Broken" by Cat Stevens, but I'm not sure that you want to include such songs to the mix.
OK - had my piece - I'll let someone else have theirs.
SFEnnisSF:
Thanks for the feedback! :D
"Coyotes" and "Follow Me" were removed over the weekend while I was re-arranging the playlist. You guys ARE listening. :D Thank you. :) They're back in the playlist now. :D
"Stars in the Rearview Mirror" had been one of the higher rated tracks, until you and Lynne shot it down. LOL. We'll conisder rotating it out on the next update. (Unless it get's more 'thumbs up' votes).
"Behind Blue Eyes" and "Don't Fear The Reaper" were suggested in the suggestion forums. The lyrics on these songs definitely relate to BBM in one way or another. Both continue to be highly rated tracks. As a person who might like the instrumental ambient tracks more, I can see how these songs might irritate. We try to have a really wide variety and mix of music on the station hopefully to please all who listen. We might try the all-instrumentals weekend again sometime soon. We ran into some DMCA violation problems with it last time, which is why it was cancelled. Perhaps you can suggest a few new instrumental tracks for the station? :D :D (I added two new ones tonight.)
Keep the feedback coming folks! It is very helpful! :D I'd like to see some discussion about the tracks you hear on BBM Radio. Tell us why you like or don't like the songs selected for the station. What do the songs mean to you and to BBM? How can we in any way improve the station? What songs are you sick of hearing? Etc. Etc. :D

There have been songs on BBM Radio that have haunted me. That i couldn't get out of my head all day (and i mean that in a good way :))
Like 'Goodbye' by Emmylou Harris
I remember holdin' on to you
All them long and lonely nights I put you through
Somewhere in there I'm sure I made you cry
But I can't remember if we said goodbye
But I recall all of them nights down in Mexico
One place I may never go in my life again
Was I just off somewhere or just too high
But I can't remember if we said goodbye
I only miss you every now and then
Like the soft breeze blowin' up from the Caribbean
Most Novembers I break down and cry
Cause I can't remember if we said goodbye
But I recall all of them nights down in Mexico
One place I will never go in my life again
Was I just off somewhere or just too high
But I can't remember if we said goodbye
No I can't remember if we said goodbye
Goodbye goodbye
I know this song wasn't written for the movie, but still, it could hardly be more Brokeback. Not just in the words 'I can't remember if we said goodbye' but the way she sings, or mumbles more like. It's eerie... and very sad. :'(
But a great choice for this station.
