Anybody seen El Laberinto del Fauno / Pan's Labyrinth?
mvansand76:
Has anybody seen El Laberinto del Fauno, or Pan's Labyrinth? I watched it last night and I cried so much! It's the first movie since Brokeback that touched me this much... Hope we can discuss it here!
Front-Ranger:
I have seen it as well as (I think) ednbarby and several others. We have discussed it a little in varioius places, mostly on the Arts & Entertainment forum. And here's another mention:

Unfortunately, the violence and brutality somewhat ruined the movie for me. It also had a lot of dark scenes and so was difficult to make out the details.
Meryl:
Yes, Melissa, I saw "Pan's Labyrinth" and thought it was great. I love stories about other realities, and this one was really different and compelling.
If you go to the old Resurrecting Movies thread, some discussion of it starts here.
I think it's okay to discuss it in CT, although more people might see it if it's in the arts forum. Let me know if you want me to move it. :)
Wasn't the little girl terrific?

Oh, she was amazing! I cried so hard at the end... :'(
I have to agree that some of the violence was too much for me too, they could have done with a torture scene or two less.
Yes, you can move it, sometimes I still don't know where things go....
Front-Ranger:
It was just unrelenting. Every time you thought things couldn't get worse...they did.
