[Note from Phillip: This part of another thread still has some fun and life left in it, so it stands in its own thread now!]
Hard to believe he is a YALE man.
He sounds more like Sheriff Roscoe P. Coletrain from the TV show Dukes of Hazzard.

That looks like "Dog" from Columbo. :) I told John if we ever got a cat here (he's allergic to everything), we should name him or her "Cat."

Huh? I never noticed that Columbos dog didn't have a name! And I love those old Columbo movies from the 1970s.
I recall that Roscoes dog was named "Flash" wasn't it?

Phillip Dampier:
It gets scarier. I unearthed an actual Dukes of Hazzard novelty album that has an inexplicable tune honoring Roscoe P. Coltrane's dog Flash. One has to think this was not the pinnacle of James Best's career, and I also have to wonder what is in the minds of music and television executives who green light these musical travesties.
I think the song is amusing enough, covering every possible permutation of Roscoe's many verbal affectations, at least until Best's jazz-like-meandering-lyrics descend rapidly into a frightful exposition about Flash's many wrinkles, on which he comments, "they're sexy though." Oh my.
