The MTV awards are getting closer!!!!!    ;D

Thursday June 8th!!!!    Put on your Black Resistol Cowboy hats and grab your popcorn.

Well, not a large popcorn.  I'm sure most of us will only watch the "Best Kiss" part!  LOL

I thought about that yesterday actually!   
Definitely can't wait to see what'll happen when Heath and Jake win the Best Kiss Award! 
It'll be great if they both show up!  Whether or not they recreate The Kiss, I would just like to see them both receive the award!  :D

So, is it true that the MTV winners know that they've won before the show happens? 

It will be fun to watch... although the Oscars fiasco was so draining, it's hard to get excited about yet another awards show.  Even if this one is mostly silly and fun.

Do we think they'll really win.  I mean obviously all of us here want them to win (and they certainly deserve it), but do we think that average-joe MTV voters out there will vote for them?

Yeah, saw an ad for the awards last night and wondered if everyone got around to voting.

Whether they win or lose these awards will definitely not hit me at all as hard as the Oscar debacle, so I'm looking forward to a little fun.

I can't find it at mtv.com anymore, but I remember reading that the awards were actually taking place on Saturday, June 3, but not airing until June 8.  So they're not live (quite obviously, I know) and we can possibly (OK, most likely) know who won beforehand.

I just looked at the list of presenters, and so far, no Jake or Heath.   :'(  Not that that means anything - I was just hoping we'd get a definite opportunity to see either of them onstage.

And the voting is closed.  You can still check out the nominees, but no more voting for them.

I'm sure I'll TiVo it on the 8th (especially if I hear beforehand that they won).  If they do win anything and/or show up, I'll be glad to transfer it to video for anyone interested.
