Title: Heelys
Post by: Kelda on October 23, 2006, 03:59:54 am
Are these easy to get hold of in the states?

My niece would love these from Santa but they are very very hard to get hold of in the UK and are pretty darn expensive at about £80 which is about $190.

I didn't know what they were either so we're both uncool! They are trainers/sneakers with wheels in them so you can glide along the ground with them.

I just saw my first pair of these, on a young girl who looked to be in her early teens, this past Saturday evening. Until then I didn't even know they existed, so sign me up for the ranks of the uncool!  ;D

These are so popular with the kids at my school - and they really look like fun - but us teachers have to be grinches about it and tell the kids to pop the wheels out.  :-\
Prices start at @ $60.

Thank you fernley!!!

The black and pink ones that my niece would like are £65 plus shipping at home.

On that website they are $59.95 with free shipping to a US address.

Now I have to find someone who might be willing to buy them for me and send over!!!

They used to be available at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago when they were in vogue. A word of warning--don't try to get on a plane with them on!
