Here's a 2005 interview with Jake where he talks, among other things, about Jack and masculinity.
Towards the end he says how ironic it is that Jack and Ennis lived in the time of "free love" - but they weren't free to love at all. Although that's no new insight, it's true nevertheless and somehow I liked how he put it.

Refreshing to hear an intelligent interviewer ask interesting questions, and not simply focus on the kiss, etc.

               That is probably the best interview Jake did for that movie, in my opinion.  He had an interview with intelligently thought out questions, and intelligent and thoughtful answers..  I loved that...thank you
very much for posting that.

Awesome interview with Jake about BBM.  Jake is so smart and cute, I've been watching YouTube vids of him for the past half hour.  lol
