I could not believe how many ppl they asked to join the Academy. I thought they were trying to shrink their membership as it was growing to fast.  I'm glad Santaolalla got asked to join. I wonder if anyone ever rejects thier offer for membership.  I bet Woody Allen has or would.  Maybe he's singing a different tune now.

Jennifer Hudson got invited to join?  I have nothing against her, but didn't she just get started?  And Christopher Plummer wasn't asked til now?  Where's the rhyme or reason there?
