I came upon this series recently and I'm so glad I did. It looks like it started as a one-shot and then evolved, so it kind of starts in the middle of things and now we're finding out more about the past as we go along, which is very interesting. It's unique and really well-written.
These are the parts so far:
"Death by Twist" http://fizzerbass.livejournal.com/18176.html (http://fizzerbass.livejournal.com/18176.html)
"Twisted for Life" http://fizzerbass.livejournal.com/18435.html (http://fizzerbass.livejournal.com/18435.html)
"Twist My Arm" http://fizzerbass.livejournal.com/18697.html (http://fizzerbass.livejournal.com/18697.html)
"Twisting in the Wind" http://fizzerbass.livejournal.com/19039.html (http://fizzerbass.livejournal.com/19039.html)

Hey Marie, thanks for the rec, which I want to second :)
I like the writing by fizzerbass in general. She mostly writes drabbles respectively one-shots, which sometimes extend to multiple chapter stories. I think I liked everything I read by her. Some drabbles/one-shots/chapters of a series are really great, others are 'only' nice, but I think they're all worth reading.
At the moment, she writes the NS series Marie recommended and a series, I think it's 12 days of Christmas, in collaboration with two other authors (Montana Crows and Smiles_a_lot). I haven't started this one yet, so I can't say whether it's good.
Here's Fizzerbass' page on BrokebackSlash: http://community.livejournal.com/brokebackslash/tag/fizzerbass (http://community.livejournal.com/brokebackslash/tag/fizzerbass)
And here are the chapters of her other (I think her first) series, Phone Calls: http://community.livejournal.com/brokebackslash/tag/phone+calls (http://community.livejournal.com/brokebackslash/tag/phone+calls)
Phone Calls also started out as a one-shot, therefore the first chapters all have different titles. Don't get confused by that. But since they all thave the Phone Call tag, you'll recognize.
I recommend Phone Calls, but there's a catch: it's not finished and it hasn't been updated since Oct, 9th
