Title: Where you been?
Post by: tamarack on February 21, 2008, 07:14:58 pm
I'm placing this here since I don't think many people visit the Alberta pages these days. Others of you may be interested to know what is happening at the Java Shop, where Cassie confronted Ennis about those notes she left at his place.

Thank you for posting this over here!  That tribute to Heath is so touching.

I wish I could say that it was my idea, but it was Steve Gin who thought of doing it.

I was thinking that, once we know what is going to happen to the Java Shop and the bus station, if it was to open up again it might be nice to continue with the original idea of a couple of roses a week during the summer. A couple, meaning one at a time, but to be sure that it doesn't start to look bad, have another one brought in half way through the week. Of course, that would all depend on whether the doors were even open.

Wow, that's great that you were quoted in the article Lauren!  And it even listed our website.  Thanks for posting this!  :D

Hey Lauren, thanks for posting this. I enjoyed reading the articles very much. What a shame that the Java shop has closed down.
I loved the Heath tribute  :)

What a great article and a lovely gesture of the flowers.

I only came upon this thread by accident, I'm sure others will miss it in here, so I hope you post it to one of the threads in the Heath Rememberance Forum.

Thanks to you for posting this, Lauren, and to Steve for the idea.  I sure hope the Java Shop survives to live another day.  It's a wonderful spot, a real vintage place, and Heath's aura only makes it more special.  8)
