I'll tell you all a secret that I told Melinda (Sashca) on the phone this morning - well, usually to celebrate my birthday, I get together with some of my favorite friends (usually all women) and do something lovely. Like last year we spent the evening at the beach near my house, singing and laughing as the sun went down. Some years it's a pretty big party, some years smaller and simpler. Well this year, can you guess what kind of celebration I organized? None - it would have taken too much time from my BBM obsession. I had this sense that I would be sittin' on the beach wonderin' when I could get back to you all. Kind a lame, hunh?
And when David asked if there was anything I would like for my birthday, I told him there are two things: a gold harmonica charm (I've been eyeing one online for months but couldn't justify the expense), and to have my BBM poster mounted.
Anyways, I sure am glad to be here with you little darlin's.

Thanks to all of you for your kind and hilarious thoughts and well wishes! They both touched me and made me laugh out loud (esp Vicky's flasher!), which is what a girl who doesn't particularly enjoy getting older really needs. ;)
And Happy Birthday too to Clarissa and Giancarlo - it's a treat to share a lovely, sunny birthday with fellow BBMers!

Awwww, thanks, Clarissa! You know that's just what I needed to hear. :-* I miss you guys a lot and wish there was more time ('cuz there just ain't never enough!) to spend here. It's good to know I am missed. I've been swamped here, as I prepare to give notice at work, plan for my trip and my big move, pack up my life (for the second time in two months), drive east, and begin a new job. Tanti nitty gritty details to work out. Luckily, my brokie family is portable. ;) Meanwhile, when I am unable to visit the forum, darlin' Jenny tries to keep me up to date. Cuz like Ennis and Jack, even when we're apart, I'm thinking about y'all.
You're rootin-tootin' right, my fellow language-lover, that's Hebrew. Re: Tanti auguri, yeah, pretty much. I think it's like many good wishes, or many blessings. Amanda, Lynne, RouxB and I just actually had cupcakes from Cupcake Royale. We got 4 different flavors (orange, lavender, red velvet, and coconut) and mixed-and-matched quarter cupcakes.
I also just read through this thread, and realized that it has 2006 posts, and 2008 posts. It was dormant during 2007, so that's cool it was resurrected. Thanks for your good wishes, everybody, sure am thinking of you. :-*
