Title: Just to say..... (West Highland Way pics now included!!)
Post by: Kelda on July 14, 2006, 05:51:44 am: I am walking the west highland way ( rural scottish walk from just outside glasgow to fortwilliam) for a week, so will not be online from later on today until a week on sunday.

Yay! Welcome back, Kelda! Can't wait to see your pictures.

And everything is wonderful all the time here at Chez Tremblay. The bluebirds are singing, money's falling from rich men's pockets, and I just took a dip in the whiskey spring last night.

The 95 miles in 6 days was a beuatiful stretch to walk along.

It was fun but tiring! And what with the good weather in Scotland for a change, I have very very tanned arms!!

(But I have plenty of insect bites to compensate!!)

My friend Susan got bad blisters but still mange to outpace me when walking! She is a fast wee thing!! (but then she is due to do a marathon shortly – so I guess that’s not surprising!

My knees are playing up.. I think they kept going over the walk but not are realising they worked too hard but apart from that I’m blister free etc!

Post by: ednbarby on July 31, 2006, 11:15:24 am: Wonderful pictures, Kelda! I'd love to do something like that. Those mountains and hills remind me of the part of western New York I grew up in - the Finger Lakes region that was formed by glaciers - but are just much more so. Beautiful.
