We've found our new home, and most of us have started unpacking. Some have completely moved in and the pictures are already hung on the walls. Others are still holding their paper sack, just glad to be out of the storm.
As we are each ready, let's begin to explore our new neighborhood. It's clean and safe and welcoming. Here are a couple of landmarks you may want to visit:

I wanted to take a second and talk about Our Daily Thoughts which is a unique forum on here. It's a place for online diary/blog/whatever for each user who wants to start one. Each user gets to start one thread for and about their daily thoughts and issues about any topic they want to talk about. You get to update it whenever you wish just by replying to it. Other users are welcome to join your message and offer ideas, support, and friendship.
It's a place where some of our users are working on the very issues that Brokeback Mountain brought forth in their own lives. At other times, it's just a place to bitch about the weather or something they saw that day they wanted to bring up. It's your choice. Nothing is off topic there.

The stars are depending on the number of posts, yes. It's automatic, I guess.

Yes, it is based on your level, which is based on the number of posts. The colors indicate regular users vs. mods and admins.
I started out here with one star too and worked my way through Tourist all the way up to Brokeback Got Me Good.
