It's just been brought to my attention that Jack and Lureen's dining room chairs are now for sale on Craigslist:

These chairs were used in the Thanksgiving Dinner scene at Jack's house in the award winning Brokeback Mountain

Dang, I'd kill to have those! They were so cheesy and 70's, but it was an adorable color nonetheless. Actually bought a sweater recently because it was that same color, and got all kinds of compliments on it.
Hosting a dinner party Thursday night. Doubt those chairs could get here in time, though.
Plus I'd have to redecorate my entire house.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend them. But in other settings, who knows.

I replied to that Craigslist post a few days ago, saying I would like to buy one of the chairs and didn't get a response.

It's aubergine season again! I wonder if those chairs ended up in a Brokie's house? They are newly in vogue. In my town, if you label anything "mid-century modern" people trample each other to get it.
