California Brokies take note!  I saw this show in New York, and it's wonderful.  8)

LYPSINKA

The Passion of the Crawford

John Epperson, appearing as his alter ego Lypsinka, has always delved into powerful womanhood for his groundbreaking shows.

Incorporating a sizable dollop of Joan Crawford’s large persona, this show is devoted entirely to the Oscar-winning actress.

The New York Times called this show, "Hilarious! Mesmerizing! Fun!" Using recordings of Joan Crawford, The Passion of the Crawford is a fab fantasia on the persona of Miss Crawford. Lypsinka (the female brainchild of John Epperson) and another actor play out interviews and speeches given by Crawford. Fun, humorous performance about the refraction of celebrity and addiction to fame.

Oh I know the Rrazz Room well - nice place!  Thanks for the heads up!  I just might be able to make one of the performances.
