Title: Is it too early to post that Jake will be on Conan O'Brien
Post by: Kd5000 on February 07, 2007, 11:55:05 am
on Tuesday, 2/27/07.  Well I am posting anyway. ;D  No doubt it will be to promote ZODIAC. I do remember Jake being on Conan's show to promote JARHEAD. Perhaps that was in November of 2005. No mention was made of BBM, i.e. "so what's the other movie Jake," nothing to that effect.  JARHEAD was out in the cinemas. Did anybody else remember that episode?

I rarely watch Conan and I had made a point to watch that evening's show to see if BBM would be discussed as well. None mentioned.

Absolutely not!  I've added it to the forum calendar!

P.S.  Saw a preview for ZODIAC when I saw THE DEPARTED a few days ago, and it was very nice to see Jakey, though I must say they just whizzed right by him, time and again, the camera never lingering...action movie-style preview, I guess.  How, I ask, can someone not linger on the beauty that is Jake? :D

For that matter, he wasn't even on the poster in any meaningful way - another opportunity missed, IMO.

Hell, no, KD - there's no such thing as "too early" to post such information!  There *is*, however, such a thing as "too late."  So THANK YOU!  I love Conan, too.  WAY less annoying than Leno.

Lynne, at least his name is front and center (i.e., top billing) on the "Zodiac" poster.  As it should be.

Sure enough, Barb!

I was watching Sci-Fi channel last night and saw three commericials for Zodiac, 2 of one and 1 different one.  Jake was prominent in both.

Cool! THank you for the heads up! I love Conan. Def the zaniest of the three (Letterman and Leno being the other two). I saw the Jarhead show you mentioned, where he described being a lifeguard and having to pee on a victim's jellyfish burn...while any interaction with Jake would be a prize, this would definitely be the strangest possible one I could imagine. But if I were in dire pain and only Jake could rescue me, I'd go for it! Better him than Joey or Chandler or whoever did that same thing on Friends.

Yep, I remember that skit as well. I was thinking, "Jake, don't they give the lifeguards something to treat stingrays or jellyfish attacks ." I mean you get a whistle and a few other things.
I think he was a lifeguard on Martha's Vineyard, MA at the time.  JAWS was on last night (Sci Fi channel) and it's obviously filmed there.  The lifeguards don't do anything but yell on their megaphone, "Get out of the water!"  Obviously they are going to need a bigger first aid kit! ;)
