What impresses you to-day?
Or what did impress you?
Or what do you want in order to be impressed?
It seems to me that we get up and we want to be impressed daily, in our lives??
All answer will be great!!

Great questions!! I am impressed today because it is spring where I am, yet there is 48 inches of new snow in the mountains just an hour away! Now that is impressive! What do I want? I have no expectations, that way there is no chance I could be disappointed!
Lately, every day I wake up excited about what I will learn, do, and discover!
-
Thanks injest!!
I get reactions like you too.. and think that we all do!! That is good!!
Concerning what you say, some do have that talent, maybe.
Everybody gets that when one talks or writes to somebody who feels upset as they react that way, or even when one looks at someone or does not look at the other person!!
At least, we try to help someone else and ourselves!! Instead of keeping words and emotions only in ourselves, we are trying to communicate which is the best thing,
Life goes on, thank goodness.
And we help each other, in many wondrous ways even when someone got upset, something good came out of it for the other persons as well as ourself, I believe!!
I enjoyed and enjoy very, very much your comments!! And may I thank you!!
Hugs!!

Great Front-Ranger!
Will be happy to know what did impress you daily!

You are a bright spot here, you know that?
You make me smile
sometimes you make me think... :)
-
What impressed me today...
- The wind blowing through the eureka palms on the backside of our back yard, making them run like waves
- How good I felt after I worked out *hard* for the first time, really, in a couple of weeks
- "The Last Mimzy" (saw it today)
- How nice the pool felt at 78 degrees (usually a little brisk for me) this afternoon
- The way my son laughed when he saw the Goodyear blimp I pointed out to him almost directly overhead
- How the sky looked from the pool while I floated on my back with my ears underwater and meditated
Wow. It was a really good day. :)
-
What impressed me today -
° The beautiful weather
° Meeting my new neighbours
° The movie "Si le vent soulève le sable"
-
Thanks, merci injest!!
You make my day happy!!
Be assured that you often do!!
Have a wonderful happy week!!
Hugs!
-
Thanks nerverenough!!
Your thoughts are wonderful!!
And will never be enough, may I say!
More...please!!
Hugs!
-
Thanks E°E°L°G°N°A_ !!
Merci!
Concernant: "Si le vent soulève le sable", comment puis-je le voir? Sur internet?
(Concerning the film: "Si le vent soulève le sable", how may I see it? ...)
Hugs!
-
Thanks E°E°L°G°N°A_ !!
Just found the trailer or one of that Sounds of Sand of this movie: "Si le vent soulève le sable",
http://www.silevent.fr/
It is stealing kids from parents so warriors can train them to be murderers?
This does happen in Africa to-day!!
Also the comer-rouge used to do it to keep its rebel army string for what over 50 years or so??
That is one of the reasons that I am exploring the Brokeback Mountain film, in order to stop somehow violence against gay men, women and kids, etc.; see my thread about that movie if you like.
And thanks for your help.
Hugs!

Wow. It was a really good day. :)
I'm with you on this. I was floating in the pool in Bay City Michigan and I still remember how wonderful it felt. That was back in February, it seems like yesterday.

It happens in the film, but it's not the main theme of the movie. The main theme is water. Or the lack thereof, rather.

This is a great thread Artiste.
What impressed me today. This may sound strange, but it was a cloudy, gray, drizzly day here today.
I was impressed by the way that the bare trees look against the melancholy sky.
I was impressed by the feeling of the grayness, enveloping everthing it touches.
If I had the time and talent, I would paint many, many pictures of days like this.
Or I would want to find a way to really put it into words.
-
Wow, wow, wow!!!
So interesting to read you all!!!
Water... my paintings I create always have water!!
Trees, they are also always in my landscapes I created!!
The Earth dying... I stress that too, and how beautiful it is;
those are my two different Reflexions I create in EACH one of my paintings!!
That is my issue, as we humans live in the Earth!!
So I think like that too!! Like you... and am pleased to read your daily impressions!!!
Hugs, hugs, hugs!!!

I would, too. I love clouds and rain. And I love the way the trees look against the gray sky just after a soaking rain. So vivid. I could easily live in Seattle or London or anywhere else where it rained nearly all the time. But where do I live? The Sunshine State. Aaargh. So when it does rain, it's glorious. Especially lately - we're in the worst drought since 2000.
-
Thanks ednbarby!
If you would live and/or visit Vancouver, in British Columbia, you feel rain as it does so for days! And sun other days!
Is that the best of both worlds you seek?
Hugs!
-
Yes, I guess at this point just a little variety would be nice. But if it had to do one or the other almost all the time, I'd prefer that one thing to be rain. Yeah, I'm a weirdo that way. I also love the cold. So what the heck am I doing here??? Sweating, most of the time.
-
Well Barb, come on over to Oregon, or Washington or BC...anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. Its a beautiful world.. It rains a great deal. It is very scenic. and has warm and friendly folks. Its a lovely place to
live, and raise a child too. Lots of fishing, and hiking, sking, and boating...Pretty much all you need, even the
Ocean. Mountains are always snow covered, and the trees are always green...\
Well now I sound like the tourist board, but its all true....my friend..all true..........janice
-
Thanks ednbarby and ifyoucantfixit!!
I admire both of you!!
I did enjoy California as I lived there at many places, plus had my studios to create my paintings, in the 60's, in the 80's too... as participated in many art exhibitions there: international, national, and local galleries too. But as have no one to find me exhibitions there, I seek help to-day... since I could mail one or some creations. That is one of my daily impressions!!
Another is that I seek help too in Florida, in order to exhibit my paintings; as never been to Florida, again, I say I could mail one or more. Also need help finding a former agent there, maybe she lives in Boca Raton? An impression is that she could be there, as she used to live in Miami and maybe still does!!
A 3rd impression would be to participate by mailing too for exhibtions in Oregon, Washington, or even British Colombia.
So interesting to get your daily impressions!!
Continue...
hugs!!

My impressions of today? First, what a difference a day makes! Sunday, warm leisurely sitting in the sunroom with cat dozing beside me computer humming on my lap. Monday, woken at 4:40 a.m. by email on my blackberry, meeting meeting meeting about work due as soon as the meeting meeting meetings are over brokie friends talking about photoshop and pdfs.
Sunday, spent 3 hrs making lasagne, Monday, visit Tokyo Joe's drive-up window, what a difference!!
-
Thanks Front-Ranger!
What an impression your lasagne made too!
Hugs!
-
What inpressed me is how fast people drive. No matter how fast I drive, people zoom past me.
-
Thanks Sjakestheground!
Yes, many persons now have no time anymore, it seems, so they drive fast.
Is that the reason?
Hugs!
-
Thanks Front-Ranger!
What an impression your lasagne made too!
Hugs!
Do I detect a lasagne lover? Well in that case, I must tell you about my lasagne! First a layer of Paul Newman's Cabernet Marinara sauce. Then a layer of noodles. Then a layer of sauteed onions, mushrooms, peppers, and andouille chicken sausage. Then, a layer of 4% fat cottage cheese, mixed with shredded parmesan. Then a layer of noodles. Then, a layer of eggplant slices sauteed in olive oil. Then a layer of chopped spinach, sprinkled with toasted pine nuts. Then a layer of noodles. Then, a layer of marinara sauce. Repeat everything. Top with a layer of cottage cheese, sprinkled with parmesan. Bake for 30 minutes, then sprinkle heavily with chopped fresh basil. Ta Da!!
-
My impression of today:
Way to much to do, not enough time to do what I wanted to do.
-
Thanks Front-Ranger!
What a lasagne!! You must be in heaven, and your family too eating that!!
You went to present it on Oprah or one of those FOOD SHOWS on TV??
Wow, wow!! Your mother's recipe?? Or you created it??
Hugs!!
-
Thanks Cameron!!
You say this:
Way to much to do, not enough time to do what I wanted to do.
...
May I say this:
Yesterday, I made for a dentist appointment as I drove by his office.
So this morning, I prepared myself for it... just after waking up, as I got up late.
And just now, I got a telephone call from the dentist's office saying that my rendez-vous is tomorrow,
but I told her it is to-day! I did think that to-day is Wednesday, but it's Tuesday!!
As I am nearly all the time pressed for time, so she said that I wanted to skip a day!!
We laughed!!
Some person have nothing to do and are bored, I can not get that, as they could
create a drawing, read a book, clean up the house, telephone a relative or a friend,
help someone in need... right??
I always have too much to do... and I got that maybe from my parents, since I worked with
my father in his garage sanding cars, etc., as he was a mechanic, and/or help mother in the house,
as we were a big family (seven kids plus an aunt and uncle). At times, we had nearly no food, even!!
At times, I wish I had nothing to do!!
Anyone feel either way?? Have a good happy day Cameron and everyone!!
Hugs!!
-
My impression is that it is Tuesday, and in my world I have Monday on Tuesday, everything has to happen at once, and I will be glad when it is about 6 pm.
-
Boy you guys are messing with my noggin.. I have enough trouble keeping the week straight as it is..Now
i have to start thinking tuesday is monday, and tuesday is wednesday,,,that is going to put me in a perpetual :
way back, or way forward machine. and who knows what is going to happen to the rest of the week....janice
-
Thanks Shaketheground and ifyoucantfixit!!
Funny, funny are your comments!!
They make me smile, making my day better!!
I wonder who started this idea of time? It is an abstract thing only??
May each of you have a wonderful and happy day!!
Hugs!!
-
I heard a crow the other day, or it sounded like a crow.
Then today, I heard one crowing over and over.
I never before paid attention to the bird calls.
But now I do.
I didn't know there were crows (I think) all around before.
-
Thanks Cameron!
Great!
Crows... are your way!
Glad you hear them!!
Maybe they will be in your stories... too!!
Hugs!!
-
Artiste,
You've read them?
I almost don't imagine people do really,
except for the people that I do know who do
But crows, I think they are crows, and I have heard them lately,
and who know's :)
-
Great Cameron!

Thanks Cameron!!

sometimes Artiste I would give my right arm to have a day free from the pressure to do do do...even on my days off I am aware of all the things that need doing...
-
Thanks injest!
We do have much to do.
Some persons do not.
Somehow, we (moi, yes me) have to find time to relax too!!
????????????????????????
I find that when I do most things with joy, that I am relaxed!!
Keep care, have a happy day!!
Hugs!!

It is Holy Saturday!
Easter is tomorrow!!
Happy Easter to all!!
Hugs too!!
-
This is a great thread, Artiste - thanks for starting it. I'll try to contribute sometimes.
My impressions today are of comfort and gratitude. I'm piled up on my futon with my laptop, the kitties are wandering in and out, my ankle is elevated with ice - no pain whatsoever, just a little swelling. I plan to spend all day catching up with BetterMost and emails and PMs and listening to BBM Radio and now talking with a BMost friend on the phone! Life does not get better than this.
And I'm grateful for my friends who understand me, cut me slack when I'm unreliable, and are always there for me, no questions asked when I need them. I aspire to be that kind of friend, myself.
-
Thanks Lynne!
Did you see my thread also on cats??
Why are you swollen?? I used 100% juice for that, like: blueberries, attaka (cranberry), grape juice... and, too,
best I found was REAL FRESH CHERRIES which saved my life!! I try to add, to my daily big oatmeal, real wild blueblerries I picked myself in the fields near the forest nearby!!
Great that you are enjoying Holy Saturday and that you are in heaven!!
Hugs!
-
Why are you swollen??
:D I had ankle surgery last week to remove some hardware that was put in when I broke it a coupla years ago...I haven't seen your thread on cats yet - I'm woefully behind on my BetterMost reading...do you mind posting a link to it here?
Thanks!
-
Thanks Lynne!
Even if I wrote cats, cats... my thread did not show up.
I found it on: Anything goes!!
http://bettermost.net/forum/index.php/topic,8840.0.html
Enjoy it!!
May you be well, better and better in health; and lots of happy times too!!

Daily impression:
Computor broke down a bit... last night.
The trouble, don't know how to fix it.
Tried, and tried.
So I await to see, if one can fix it.
Funny how I am now attached to the computor!
Greatly so!
Am happy that I can still communicate meanwhile on bettermost!!
Happy day to all and hugs!!

I hope you get your computer running again Artiste, because I am becoming attached to you!! Hope you had a good Easter.
All my Easter dishes turned out well. Lots of good leftovers this week!!
-
Thanks Front-Ranger!!
It is nice to be welcomed by you always, indeed!!
The computor started to be bad last night, and got so worst to-day,
that even my expert who came was puzzled.
Neither of us, know what it is.
As it got to be more slow than a turtle... since a turtle has more energy.
Now, it seems better, and that is a mystery too.
The expert is returning tomorrow.
Thanks to a spirit that I can use it now to-night,
as I could not anymore hour and two hours ago,
as the computor got to be unworkable!!
Glad of your meal being great!!
Hugs... and yes, if I may say, we seem to become a family in many ways, thanks!!
-
Went to the lake twice to-day!! The lake is beautiful,
as it had some ice left at noon, and now it's all gone this supper time!!
Two ducks were swimming on the calm water which was like a mirror!!
Yesterday, they sang, so loud, that maybe they were in a mating game these mallards!! ??
Because mother can not walk that far, she likes it when I bring her dog there!
I was happy to-day because mother went around the yard to-day, her third walk this year,
now the snow is all gone!!
Daffodils are starting to grow, so too is the rhubarb!!
How Spring springs us to smile more too!!
May you walk too with joy!!
Hugs!!
-
I watched the baby horses playing today.
you can already tell the boy from the girls...he is bossy and pushy and likes to jump and buck!!
cute when they are so tiny...but hope he gets it out of his system before we have to start riding him!! :o :o

-
I saw three male blue jays in a tree with one female. One of the males was squaking and carrying on and she was just listening to the racket and the others waited their turn to present their case. "I am the best blue jay in the world" they say.
-
Thanks, thanks injest, and Shakestheground!!
Wow, wow!!
Those impressions are funny, funny in some ways!!
Guess they remind me of BM!! ?? In some way, as Jack interests Ennis in playing, and vice versa!!
Hugs, hugs!!
